Hello! My name is Rachel and welcome to my blog! If you are wondering why I chose this particular quote to introduce the world to my blog, it is because this blog will be focused around one of the only three things the writing God Hemingway deems a sport: motor racing.
Drag racing to be exact.
From the time I was 10 years old I have been going to drag strips with my dad and have been behind the wheel of a drag car since I was 20. Drag racing isn't just a hobby for me. It is therapy. It is lessons learned in life. It is where I met the love of my life. See let me prove it:

That is my fiancé Andrew and I, smiling atop the rear tire of his dragster. As you can already see, we both drive Mopars (don't run just yet Ford and Chevy guys! My dad and brother race those!). To be exact Andy runs a 2013 Undercover Motorsports dragster and I drive a 2006 Undercover dragster, both powered with 540 cubic inch wedge engines built by Compu Flow.
Confused yet? Don't worry! This blog won't be (completely) full of fancy-pants race car driver talk. I hope to use this blog to shed some light (and humor) on drag racing life, as well as chronicle our journey this upcoming 2014 season across the eastern part of the US, and maybe even get some fellow racers to guest blog for me!
